Under Construction Plugin for WordPress

Under Construction SeedProd

I often use a WordPress plugin when doing maintenance or construction on an existing website.

For a long time I was using “Under Construction“, a very simple plugin, that outputs a very simple and customizable coming soon or under construction page.

However, a couple of months ago I decided I wanted a better more robust plugin for creating these types of pages.

Now I use, Coming Soon Pro by SeedProd.

My primary reason for switching, better design options, that didn’t require me to use HTML and CSS!

Here’s an example I created with Coming Soon Pro => https://chrisegg.com

This video is from my Website Builder Blueprint program, but it’s the development of the example site above!

Other features I love about the SeedProd plugin:

  • Limit Access with Client View
    • Give your clients a secret link that allows them to bypass the Coming Soon page and view the website without logging in.
  • Mobile Ready & Responsive
  • Full Screen Slideshows
  • MailChimp Integration
  • Gravity Forms Integration
  • Social Share Buttons (including Google+)
  • Search Engine Optimized
  • Easily Embed Photos & Videos
  • Maintenance Mode
  • Landing Page Mode
    • After you launch use the plugin to create a landing page on your site or run a contest.
  • Progress Bar / Countdown Timer
  • Google Analytics Support

There are a ton more features, but these ones were most important to me!

Give it a try!

  1. Hi Chris,

Let me start by saying that I value your opinion but tend to be more critical, and in that sense believe that the simpler the plugin is, the better.

For instance, I want to put up a very simple coming soon page, with an image (624x548px) in the center of the page, what seem to get is that image stretched to full width which distorts the image and it becomes blurry. Looking at your example, I see the same effect 🙁

Otherwise, nice post, but I have already tried the plugin and discarded it, certainly will not buy it but will probably create my own if I cannot find something suitable.

    Regards,
    Wim
