Your instructor
Chris Eggleston

Chris Eggleston

Chris has been building on WordPress since 2009 and founded WP Mantis in 2017. He works on forms and payments every day, including time on the support side of Gravity Forms, so he knows where setups like this tend to go wrong and how to avoid it.

This course is the setup he walks clients through when they need to get paid online without the weight of a full ecommerce plugin.

Rather have it set up for you?

If you would rather not do it yourself, we can set up WP Simple Pay and Stripe on your site, test it end to end, and hand it over working. It is a quick job for us, and it is included in every Growth Plan.

Common questions
Is the course really free?

Yes. Enter your name and email and every lesson unlocks. No credit card.

Do I need WP Simple Pay Pro?

Yes, for subscriptions and most of what the course covers. The free version handles only basic one time payments.

Do I need WooCommerce?

No. That is the point. WP Simple Pay works on its own with Stripe.

What does Stripe cost?

The account is free. Stripe charges a small fee per transaction, and there is no monthly fee.

Will this work for donations?

Yes. The same setup works for one time and recurring gifts.

Is the course up to date?

The steps still apply, though Stripe’s dashboard has been redesigned since recording, so a few screens may look different.
