01 / The problem

When it breaks, it is not only your site.

Moving a WordPress site sounds simple until something breaks.

One missed database entry, a bad DNS change, or a plugin setting can take the whole site offline. That is lost traffic, broken orders, and hours of cleanup to get back to where you started.

Whether you are switching hosts, moving to a better server, or changing domains, the point of a professional migration is that the site stays online and the business keeps running.

We needed to switch hosts fast after performance issues, but I was worried about downtime. WP Mantis moved the entire site overnight. No broken links, no downtime, and a noticeable speed boost.

02 / What the migration covers

The whole site, checked, then watched for 48 hours.

We transfer it as it is, confirm it works, and stay on it after the switch.

End to end Files, database, media, themes, and plugins all move, and we verify the site works as it did. Host and domain DNS, SSL, and email settings are handled so the site opens cleanly on the new host. Faster after the move We clear bloated data and set up caching so the site is in better shape than when it left. Nothing obvious broken Forms, checkout, menus, and links are tested before the site goes live. 48 hours after Once it is live we stay on standby for 48 hours and fix migration issues at no extra cost.

Some hosts and third-party tools need more than a straight move: advanced email, a CDN, or a custom application. If that is the case, you get a plan and a quote before we continue. Email hosted with the site can move too, or we can help you onto Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, for an additional fee.

03 / Before you pay

A bad move costs more than the migration.

Move it yourself

A missed file or a DNS change at the wrong moment takes the site down. Orders stop, and the cleanup starts from zero.

✕ The site goes offline
We move it, then switch

The transfer happens in staging. DNS changes only when the new site is ready, so visitors are not the ones who find out something broke.

→ It stays online

WooCommerce, LMS, and membership sites are included when orders and subscriptions have to arrive intact. Complex setups are quoted before we start.

04 / Order

Start the migration.

Tell us the current site and where it is going. We need temporary access to the old host, the new host, and WordPress admin. Credentials are removed when the move is done.

Common questions

What to expect when WP Mantis moves a WordPress site.

How long does a migration take?

Most are done within 24 to 48 hours, depending on the size of the site and the hosting.

Will there be downtime?

In most cases, none. We build the new copy in staging and change DNS only when it is ready.

What if I am changing hosts or domains?

We handle DNS, domain mapping, SSL, and the redirects, so visitors and the rankings you have are not left behind.

Do you move stores and membership sites?

Yes. WooCommerce, LMS, and membership sites, where orders and subscriptions have to stay intact.

Will you move my email?

If email is hosted with the site, we can move it, or help you onto Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. That part is an additional fee.

What if something breaks afterward?

We watch the site for 48 hours after launch and fix migration issues at no extra cost.

Can the site get faster in the move?

Often, yes. Old files come out and caching is configured as part of the transfer.

Do I have to hand over passwords?

Yes, temporary access to the old host, the new host, and WordPress admin. We remove that access when the job is finished.
